Creation & artistic direction

AC Matiere offers the creation of exclusive design for manufacturers and interior design shops – designs that will then become available in a whole range of formats and colour. Research may be carried out in close collaboration with our client and we are happy to carry out specific research on the basis of a specially required texture, colour or pattern. A theme, a work of art, the pattern on a fabric are all references we will be pleased to work from.

In order to create the special effects of sheen, imprints, relief or light etc. our team are used to using, sometimes modernising and frequently reinventing traditional techniques in decorative painting. These techniques and expert combinations of paints, coatings, varnishes, resins, etc. are particularly useful in the creation of scale models, as they offer a great level of freedom in material and textural research.

Applications are varied and our clients include companies such as Tarkett (flooring), Grantil (wall paper), tiles (Casa Dolce Casa), interior architecture & colour counselling (Louis Vuitton, Mis en Demeure).

Creativity

Our sources of inspiration are infinite: every envisaged material or texture can be copied, reproduced or reinvented to suit a vision. A contemporary piece of ceramic; the mosaic of ancient Chinese lacquerware, the patina of an old wooden door… might all pave the way to a new creation. However above all, our most favourite inspiration remains the simplicity of nature.
